What do you think of graffiti in South Central? “Graffiti is beautiful because it is colorful,” said Yolisma. “The graffiti in South Central is very artistic and decorative. [It makes] the streets look alive in our neighborhood.” She also said, “the graffiti is ugly when they do random letters and numbers.” [In some ways] she thinks graffiti can look nice but can [also] make our neighborhood look “trashy.” “I think our community should make a special wall where people can spray paint,” said Yolisma. “[I’ve] heard that gangs write stuff on the walls and they vandalize stores.” |

What should we do in order to clean LA? “We should have clean up crews that clean the streets in the morning before people wake up. So when people get up in the morning, they wake up to a nice clean street,” said Adan. “I also think we should make community homes. We should use buildings that have been abandoned or land that has no structure on them, so that we can use them for community homes.” What do you think we should get rid of to make South Central better? “There is nothing we should get rid of to make South Central more stable” said Adan. “But we could change things to make it stable. |

What do you think about the graffiti in South Central? “[It] depends on what you define graffiti [to be],” said Jocelyn. “If [it’s] just words and scribbles, I don’t like that. [I think] that’s stupid and it only means something to that person. But if [the graffiti] is of people or it means something, then yeah [I like it]. Like if it’s a quote or a portrait, then [I think] that’s beautiful.” |

What do you think of graffiti in South Central? Kaylie Tello likes the graffiti in South Central. “It’s beautiful, it’s amazing,” said Kaylie. She thinks it’s very artistic and beautiful. She doesn’t like the random letters people write on the walls, which sometimes has gang affiliations. “I think that if they want to do graffiti, they should do it on a special graffiti wall,” said Kaylie. |
